Mews allows customer language selection in different platforms in different ways.
- Guests can set their language preference in the Mews Booking Engine, via the Language Selector at the top right and in various Channel Managers, via the Mews API. They can also set their nationality in the Mews Booking Engine, via the Nationality Selector, on the checkout screen and in the various Channel Managers, via Mews API.
- Guests can use the guest portal Language Selector at the top right corner to set their preferred language.
At the Mews Operations end,
- If the guest selects the language in the guest portal, then the Internals tab displays this language irrespective of the language that is set in the Customer profile.
- Preferred language precedes customer nationality, but the guest can also override the settings via the Guest portal.
- The Internals tab shows the language of choice for customer communication. But in case the customer does not have any specified language or nationality, the field is empty.
The language preference in Mews is set so that the customer can set their preferred language and change it while using various Mews applications.
