Your stay service is automatically created by Mews and cannot be deleted, but you can create and delete additional services.

If you create a new service, guests won't be able to purchase it (or any attached products) when they make their reservation; the service or product will have to be purchased on-site and manually added to the customer's bill in Commander.

If you want customers to be able to purchase something with their reservation, you need to create a product that's attached to stay. Learn more about your stay service and how to set it up.

Create a service

If you require accounting category setup for all services and products (enabled in your accounting configuration settings), you'll need to create all of the accounting categories related to the service before you create the service itself.

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.
  2. Click the + button.
  3. Enter the name of the service (for example, “Room service”).
  4. Enter the price of the service and select the tax rate that should be applied. When you set up a price, you must also set up the currency.
  5. Set up all accounting categories for this service.
  6. Enter all other service details.
  7. Click Create.

Delete a service

When you delete a service, all products attached to that service will also be deleted.

Deleting a service doesn't affect any data already collected for that service or the attached products.

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on the service you want to delete.
  3. Click the Trash icon.
  4. Confirm by clicking Delete.
