An inquiry is unconfirmed and doesn't block space at your property.

Confirm an inquiry

You can manually confirm reservation inquiries in Commander.

  1. Find the inquiry you want to confirm.
  2. Go to the Status tab.

Upgrade to optional reservation

  1. Find the Optional section.
  2. Select the email address you want to send the quotation email to, or deselect Send quotation email if you don't want to send an email. Choose Custom email if you want to send the email to a different email address than the one on the customer's profile. Choose Customer email if you want to send the email to the email address on the customer's profile.
  3. Click Optional.

Upgrade to confirmed reservation

  1. Find the Confirmation section.
  2. Select the email address you want to send the confirmation email to, or deselect Send confirmation email if you don't want to send an email. Choose Custom email if you want to send the email to a different email address than the one on the customer's profile. Choose Customer email if you want to send the email to the email address on the customer's profile.
  3. Click Confirm.

Cancel an inquiry

Every inquiry has a release date. Depending on how your property is set up, at the time of release: inquiries will either be canceled automatically or you'll be reminded to manually cancel them.

Set up automatic release of inquiries

You can set up Commander to automatically cancel inquiries at the time of release.

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on your stay service.
  3. In the Options section, find the Visit options field.
  4. Select Enable automatic option cancellation.Note: If you select this option, the automatic release will also be enabled for optional reservations.
  5. Click Save.

Tip: You can also select Enable automatic release reminder email if you want customers to be reminded of their inquired reservation 24 hours before release.

Manually cancel an inquiry

If you don't want inquiries to be canceled automatically, you'll have to manually cancel them.

  1. Find the inquiry you want to cancel.
  2. Go to the Status tab.
  3. Find the Cancellation section.
  4. Select the reason for the cancellation and enter any relevant details.
  5. Deselect Apply cancellation fee.
  6. Choose whether or not to send a cancellation email to the customer only. If you deselect this option, the email will be sent to both the customer and the booker (if applicable).
  7. Click OK.
