It is simple to set up your guest-facing documents. These include:

  • Your property’s Terms & Conditions, such as your rates and cancellation policies

  • Privacy Policy

  • Check-out instructions, meaning instructions for guests when they complete online check-out with Online Guest Services.

You also need to set up these documents to be compliant with requirements from payment gateway providers like Adyen or Stripe.

You can customize:

  • Check-in and check-out instructions: For example, after the guest has completed online check-out with Online Guest Services (such as, "Please leave your room and put your key in the box by the front desk. Have a nice afternoon!").

  • House rules

  • Privacy Policy (in html format)

  • T&Cs (in html format)

Setting up guest-facing documents

There are two ways you can set up your guest-facing documents:

Provide the URL of your webpage

If you already have a page where you host your T&Cs and/or Privacy Policy:

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.

  2. Click on your Bookable service.

  3. Under the Options field,

    • Enter the URL of your T&C page in the T&C URL section

    • Enter the URL of your Privacy Policy page in the Privacy policy URL section.

Enter your Terms & Conditions directly in Mews

You can also enter your T&Cs and Privacy Policy in html format directly in Mews, so that Mews servers can host them. To do this,

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.

  2. Click on your Bookable service.

  3. Click Documents.

  4. Click +.

  5. Under Type, select Terms and conditions.

  6. Click Create.

  7. Enter your terms and conditions in html format.

  8. Click Save.

Note: Mews Kiosk does not support the Options field, so your guests can only see the Terms & Conditions you enter in Documents in html format. If your property is using Mews Kiosk, you also need to fill out your T&Cs in html.

It is essential that your Terms & Conditions clearly state:

  • Your Rates and Cancellation policies.

  • Any additional charges such as for indoor smoking, property damage, late Minibar charges, or deposit fees.

  • Official check-in and check-out times for your property, and your policies for early check-in or late check-outs.
