Terms & Conditions are important to your property as they serve as a binding document or list of requirements you require your guests to abide by.

Your Terms & Conditions should cover anything that could potentially be charged to a guest, these T&C's are there to assist you in fighting and hopefully winning as many chargebacks as possible. If you want to know more about chargeback, just click on the button below.

Examples of some important topics to cover in your T&C's

  1. Rate descriptions
  2. Cancellation policies
  3. Policy in terms of damages/theft
  4. Minibar late charge policies
  5. Late checkout

How to configure T&C's

There are two locations for uploading your T&C's, if you have your T&C's stored online and accessible by URL you can provide the URL. (This option of providing T&C's will override all other options, meaning T&C URL will override HTML written T&C's provided in Mews Commander) (unless on Operator which will require T&C's to be added by HTML)

Adding T&C URL (Not supported by Operator)

  1. Log in to Commander
  2. On the left side of the page open the burger menu (3 horizontal lines)
  3. Click on "Settings" > "Services" > "Stay" service
  4. Scroll down the page till you see the "Options" section, click on "Options"
  5. Scroll down till you see the "T&C URL" field, you can paste your T&C URL there
  6. Scroll down and press on the "Save" button
  7. For multiple languages you can scroll to the top of the page and select the language of your choice, from there you can go back to the "T&C URL" field and upload the file to the corresponding language.

Once the guest clicks on your T&C link they will be taken to your T&C, example bellow (This is our T&C's, the guest would see your URL in this case).

Adding T&C HTML

Additionally, you can add your T&C's by HTML in case you do not have T&C URL (You will not see your T&C HTML in case you have something filled in the T&C URL field) If you are new to HTML you can find some useful information here.

  1. Log in to Commander
  2. On the left side of the page open the burger menu (3 horizontal lines)
  3. Click on "Settings" > "Services" > "Stay" service
  4. Click on "Documents"
  5. Click on the "Plus" sign on the top right corner of the page
  6. From the drop-down field select "Terms and Conditions", click "Create"
  7. From here you will be able to upload either your T&C's HTML (there is no character limit)
  8. Once complete, click on "Save"

When you add your T&C HTML it will look something similar to this.
