The response message:

Card jammed in encoder. The card does not have the proper physical dimensions and is stuck in the encoder, or a foreign object may have been inserted into the encoder.

Why this happens:

Some key encoder machines require a user to insert the key card into the machine for the machine to encode the key. This error message will be returned when the key encoder detects a jammed key card, or that a key card of the incorrect shape and size or some foreign object has been inserted into the encoder.

How to resolve:

Try to safely remove the jammed card and restart the key creation process. If you were not able to remove the jammed card, reach out to a technical colleague or your door lock vendor for assistance.
