Why this happens:

When a key gets created in Mews, the key creation message is sent from the Mews Server (in the cloud) to your Mews Open API application (installed on a computer at your property), which then forwards the message to the Hotek Interface System (server). Hotek then communicates to the Client counterpart of the Hotek Interface System in order to proceed with the key creation process.

This error occurs when Hotek’s Server application cannot communicate to its Client application.

How to resolve:

Mews recommends stopping and starting all Hotek applications. You could also restart the computer.

If that does not work, we recommend contacting Hotek support.
