Before you start

  • Before you set up a Reservit integration in Commander, you need to have already purchased Reservit.
  • If you're already live with Mews, we won't configure whole channel manager integrations for you—we'll just handle the testing, and help you out if you have any problems.

Step 1: Send a request form

  1. Fill in this request form for Reservit to add you to onboarding list.
  2. INFORMATION ABOUT THE ESTABLISHMENT refers to the client's details.
  3. INFORMATION ABOUT THE PARTNER refers to Mews details.
  • If you are in the process of onboarding with Mews, please add your Mews implementation manager details.
  • If you are already live with Mews, please add Mews Support team details.
  • In the field PMS / TMS Name, enter Mews.
  • In the Company field, check PMS.

Step 2: Connect Reservit

  1. Go to Main menu > Marketplace.
  2. Under Categories, click Distribution.
  3. Find the Reservit integration and click See more.
  4. Click Connect.

Step 3: Enter Reservit credentials

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. In Channel Manager ID field, enter a combination of HotelID-ChainID from the Reservit extranet. E.g., 424025-28.
  4. Username and password should be obtained from Reservit and entered in the Reservit integration settings in Mews.

Step 4: Map space categories

Manually map space categories

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager categories.
  4. Click +.
  5. In the Channel manager ID field, enter a unique code for this space category. The mapping code is a combination of room category and room type from the Reservit extranet. E.g., 421398-946546.

Note: first part of the mapping code could repeat as it represents a room category, while the second part represents room type. Make sure to add dash between the room category and room type codes.

6. Under Category, select the space category you want to send to Reservit.

7. Select the Synchronized checkbox to send availability updates to the channel manager.
- If a space category is unsynchronized, no updates are sent.

8. Click Create.

9. Repeat steps 4-7 for every space category that you want to map.

If you enter a mapping in different format, it will not allow you to save it and throw an error.

Remove mapped space categories

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager rates.
  4. Find the rate that the space category is connected to, and click on the channel manager ID.
  5. In the Channel manager categories section, find the space category you want to remove and click the icon.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every space category that you don't want sent Reservit.

Step 5: Map rates

Remove mapped rates

If you want to completely remove a rate so no reservations can be created with it, delete or unsynchronize the rate in both Commander and Reservit.

Manually map rates

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager rates.
  4. Click +.
  5. In the Channel manager ID field, enter a unique code for this rate.
    - If you wish to manage only one rate from Mews and derive the rest in the Reservit extranet, then you should use mapping code RACK. Note: all reservations will be assigned to RACK rate. - If you wish to manage all rates from Mews, then you should use rate id as a mapping code. It can be found in the Reservit extranet. Note: you should use only numbers, id is not a part of the mapping code.

6. Under Rate, select the rate you want to send to Reservit.

7. Find the Synchronized checkbox and decide which updates you want to send to the channel manager.
- Synchronized rates send pricing and restriction updates to the channel manager.
- Unsynchronized rates don’t send pricing or restriction updates to the channel manager, but can still receive reservations.

If you want to manage rate pricing in Reservit rather than Commander, make sure the rate is unsynchronized.
8. Click Create.

Step 6: Connect space categories to rates

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager rates.
  4. Find the rate you want, and click on the channel manager ID.
  5. Connect the rate to one or more space categories:
    - Click +, and then click + Channel manager category to only connect specific space categories (for example, if it's a promotional rate).
    - Click to connect all mapped space categories to the rate.

Step 7: Package products

Package products to ensure they're added to your channel manager reservations.

Note: These products won't appear in Reservit. They will be sent as a sum of night and product cost.

If the product is charged per night or per person per night

Step 1: Map the product

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager products.
  4. Click the Plus button in the top right corner.
  5. In the Channel manager ID enter any alphanumeric code.
    - It doesn't matter which code you choose. Adding a code in this field makes it possible to package the product with a rate.
  6. In the product field pick a product, which you would like to package with a rate.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Repeat steps 3-7 for every product that you want send to Reservit.

Step 2: Connect the product to a mapped rate

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Click Channel manager rates.
  4. Find the rate you want to package a product with, and click on the channel manager ID.
  5. Click +, and then click + Channel manager product.
  6. Under Product, select the product you want.
  7. Click Create.
  8. Repeat steps 5-8 for every product that you want to be available via Reservit.
    - Repeat these steps with the same rate to package it with multiple products.

If the product is charged once or per person

These products can't be mapped. Instead, you'll need to create a product rule.

  1. Go to Main menu > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on your stay service.
  3. From the Settings menu, click Product rules.
  4. Click the + button.
  5. Under Action, select Add.
  6. Under Product, choose the product that you want added to a reservation.
  7. Choose the condition that must be met in order for the product to be added to the reservation. For example, if you want the product to be added when the reservation is made with a specific rate:
    - Under Rate condition, select Equals.
    - Under Rate, select the rate you want the product packaged with.
  8. Under Origin condition, select Equals
  9. Under Origin, select Channel manager.

Step 8: Map travel agencies

For each travel agency, you need to create a profile/contract and set up mapping. Then, Commander will be able to automatically detect and handle any new reservations from that agency.

With Reservit, we recommend that you only map the most specific reservation sources. Not sure what we mean? Learn more about travel agency mapping.

Step 9: Test the integration

Note: If there are any errors with your mapping setup in Reservit or you didn't finish, this test will fail. To resolve any mapping issues in Reservit, contact Reservit support.

  1. In Commander, go to Main menu > Marketplace.
  2. Go to My subscriptions.
  3. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  4. Under Enabled operations, select Upload availability, Upload rates, and Upload restrictions.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Options section:
    - Under Action, select Push inventory.
    - Under From, select today's date.
    - Under To, select 1 week from today.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Refresh the page.
    - If you have mapping errors, your selections under Enabled operations will no longer be selected, and a detailed list of the errors will be sent to the address entered in the Notification email field. Fix the errors and repeat steps 4-8.
    - If the inventory update is successful, we'll send an email to the address entered in the Notification email field.
  9. When you have no mapping errors, log in to your Reservit account and compare the availability, rates, and restrictions to those in Commander.
    - If they don't match, make sure you don't have availability limits, commissions, taxes, or markups added in Reservit. If you need help with this step, please contact Reservit support.

Step 10: Enable the integration

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.
  3. Select the Enabled checkbox.
  4. In the Enabled operations section, make sure that Upload availability, Upload rates, Upload restrictions, and Receive reservations are selected.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Options section at the bottom:
    - Under Action, select Push inventory.
    - Under From, select today's date.
    - Under To, select 365 days from today.
  7. Click OK.
