After you purchase the Reservit integration in Mews Marketplace, you can set it up in Mews Operations.

The Reservit integration allows you to connect and manage only a single rate. You have to derive all your other rates in Reservit.

Please note:

  • We handle testing of the integration for Mews customers and provide help in case of problems, but you have to configure channel manager integrations yourself.

  • With the Reservit integration you can manage only the Closed to Stay restriction without exceptions. To close a particular space category or entire property, adjust availability to 0 for all space categories you wish to close. A “Closed to Stay restriction” will not be sent to Reservit.

  • In Mews, the Reservit channel manager does not support extra or empty bed adjustments set up in rates. If you need to make this adjustment, we recommend you contact Reservit ([email protected]) to do it directly on their interface.

Complete the following steps to set up the Reservit integration

Click on individual steps for a detailed explanation:

Step 1: Send a request form

Step 2: Connect Reservit

Step 3: Enter Reservit credentials

Step 4: Map space categories

Step 5: Map rates

Step 6: Connect space categories to rates

Step 7: Package and add-on products

Step 8: Map travel agencies

Step 9: Enable the integration in Reservit

Step 10: Test the integration

Step 11: Enable the integration in Mews

Step 1: Send a request form

Fill in a request form for Reservit to add yourself to their onboarding list.

Important points to note while filling in the form:

  • INFORMATION ABOUT THE ESTABLISHMENT refers to your property details.

  • In the field Connectivity type, pick HTTP ACK.

  • INFORMATION ABOUT THE PARTNER refers to Mews details.

    • If you are in the process of onboarding with Mews, add your Mews implementation manager’s details.

    • If you are already live with Mews, add Mews Support team details ([email protected]).

    • In the field PMS / TMS Name, enter Mews.

    • In the Company field, check PMS.

Note: Please remember that Reservit needs four weeks to build a profile, so choose your desired Connectivity activation date accordingly.

Step 2: Connect Reservit

  1. Go to Main menu > Marketplace.

  2. Under Categories, click Distribution.

  3. Locate the Reservit integration and click See more.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 3: Enter Reservit credentials

Reservit sends your Username by email. Reservit also sends you a link to generate a password a few days before the live date. The link is accessible only for 48 hours. To enter Reservit credentials:

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Find the Reservit integration and click Settings.

  3. In the Channel Manager ID field, enter a combination of HotelID-ChainID from the Reservit extranet. E.g., 424025-28.

  4. Enter your Username. Your password should be obtained from Reservit and entered in the Reservit integration settings in Mews.

Note: Your password must be composed of at least seven alphanumeric characters. Do not use special characters like :, %, or $ in your password.

New feature alert: Mews now automatically resets your password and updates it to your Reservit integration every 90 days. This ensures:

  • secure data flow between your property and Reservit

  • sharing payment card data can no longer be interrupted because of an expired password

To enable this feature, select Change password in the Enabled operations field in Settings.

Step 4: Map space categories

You can retrieve mapping codes from the Reservit extranet a few days before your scheduled live date. Add these codes into Mews.

To map space categories

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager categories.

  4. Click +.

  5. In the Channel manager ID field, enter a unique code for this space category, a combination of room category and room type, from the Reservit extranet. E.g., 421398-946546.

Note: The first part of the mapping code repeats because it represents a room category, while the second part represents a room type. Make sure to add a dash between the room category and the room type codes.

6. Under Category, select the space category you want to send to Reservit.

7. Select the Synchronized checkbox to send availability updates to the channel manager. If a space category is unsynchronized, no updates are sent.

8. Click Create.

9. Repeat steps 4-7 for every space category that you want to map.

Note: Please make sure to enter the mapping in the correct format, otherwise it will not be saved and you will get an error message.

To remove mapped space categories

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Find the rate that the space category is connected to, and click on the channel manager ID.

  5. In the Channel manager categories section, find the space category you want to remove and click the icon.

  6. Click Delete.

  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every space category that you don't want sent Reservit.

Step 5: Map rates

You can retrieve mapping codes from the Reservit extranet a few days before your scheduled live date. Add these codes into Mews.

To map rates

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Click +.

  5. In the Channel manager ID field, enter a unique code for this rate.

Note: You can manage only one rate from Mews. Other rates must be derived in the Reservit extranet. To do this, use the rate id as a mapping code. You can find it in the Reservit extranet. Make sure to use only numbers, as ID is not part of the mapping code.

6. Under Rate, select the rate you want to send to Reservit. We recommend to connect a Base rate.

7. Check or uncheck the Synchronized checkbox, to choose the updates you want to send to the channel manager.
- Synchronized rates send pricing and restriction updates to the channel manager.
- Unsynchronized rates don’t send pricing or restriction updates to the channel manager, but can still receive reservations.

Note: If you want to manage rate pricing in Reservit rather than Mews Operations, make sure the rate is unsynchronized.

8. Click Create.

To remove mapped rates

To completely remove a rate so no reservations can be created with it, delete or unsynchronize the rate in both Mews Operations and Reservit.

To map derived rates in Mews

To assign reservations to the derived rates managed in the Reservit extranet, map them as in “To map rates” from steps 1-6, but these rates must be unsynchronized.

Step 6: Connect space categories to rates

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Find the rate you want, and click on the channel manager ID.

  5. Connect the rate to one or more space categories:
    - To connect only specific space categories (for example, a promotional rate): Click +, and then click + Channel manager.
    - To connect all mapped space categories to the rate: Click Connect all.

Step 7: Package and add-on products

Package products to ensure they're added to your channel manager reservations.

  • You can package a product charged per night or per person per night, with a rate. To learn more about packaged products, read here.

  • You can manage Package products per default space category occupancy only. For example, if you have a space category 2+1 with breakfast charged per person per night as 10EUR and night price as 100EUR, Mews always sends 120EUR.

  • You cannot package a product charged once or per person with a rate, but you can book it as an additional service.

Note: Package products don't appear in Reservit, but are sent as a sum of night and product cost.

To map products

1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

3. Click + to map a product.

4. In the Channel manager ID section, enter a channel manager mapping code.

5. Click Save.

6. Repeat steps 3-5 for every product that you want to send to Reservit.

NOTE: If you map a product that is charged once or per person, you don’t have to go to the section below.

1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

2. Locate the Reservit integration and click Settings.

3. Click Channel manager rates.

4. Choose the rate you want to package a product with, and click on the channel manager ID.

5. Click +, and then click + Channel manager product.

6. Under Product, select the product you want.

7. Click Create.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 for every product that you want to be available via Reservit. Repeat these steps with the same rate to package it with multiple products.

The Reservit connection supports product communication sent with reservations. We recommend you create all additional and package products directly in Reservit and then map them in Mews. This automatically adds products to reservations in Mews.

  6. In the product field pick a product.

  7. Click Save.

Repeat steps 3-7 for every product that you want to add to reservations coming from Reservit.

Step 8: Map travel agencies

Create a profile/contract and set up mapping for each travel agency. Then, Mews Operations can automatically detect and handle any new reservations from that agency. Follow Method 2: Use the channel manager ID in the guide here

Note: Please contact Reservit and obtain channel codes.

Step 9: Enable the integration in Reservit

Once you complete the mapping, just enable the connection in Reservit.

  1. Go to Reservit extranet.

  2. Click on Hotel icon in the top left corner > Additional modules > PMS > Definition

  8. Refresh the page.

If you have mapping errors, your selections under Enabled operations are not selected, and a detailed list of the errors is sent to the address entered in the Notification email field.

  • Fix the errors and repeat steps 4-8. Alternatively, if the inventory update is successful, we send an email to the address entered in the Notification email field.

When there are no mapping errors, log in to your Reservit account and compare the availability, rates, and restrictions to those in Mews Operations.

  • If they don't match, check whether you have availability limits, commissions, taxes, or markups added in Reservit.

Note: You can contact Reservit support ([email protected]) if you need help with this step.

Step 11: Enable the integration in Mews

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
