To decide what reservation source you wish to have assigned to a reservation, let's review the below scenario first:

  1. A guest goes to "Random Travel Agency" to book a stay in Paris.
  2. "Random Travel Agency" connects to SynXis GDS and books the property.
  3. The booking goes through SiteMinder and gets created in Mews.

NOTE: SiteMinder as a source is always mentioned in the booking.

4. This booking went through "Random Travel Agency" and SynXis GDS, you can pick one source to have it assigned to the booking.

Mews integrates the booking and assigns the "Random Travel Agency"

In the SiteMinder booking XML, you can find "Random Travel Agency" details.

  • Create a company profile with the exact same name as you see in the XML. E.g., Random Travel Agency S.A. DE C.V.
  • Assign a Travel agency contract to this company profile.

In order to have Sabre assigned to a booking:

  • Create a company profile with any name. E.g., it can be SynXis GDS or SabreAA.
  • Assign a Travel agency contract to this company profile.
  • In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
  • Find the SiteMinder integration and click Settings.
  • Click Channel manager companies.
  • Click +, and then click Channel manager company.
  • Under Company, select the company you want.
  • Under Channel Manager ID, add a company mapping code that you see in the booking XML. E.g., AAAA.
  • Click Create.
