Mews-D-edge connection has several security layers and one of them is username
and password
, which a property adds into D-edge integration in Mews.
If the username and/or password does not match the ones in D-edge, inventory update and reservation download operations will automatically get disabled and Mews will trigger a notification email.
Why Bad authentication error could happen and what to do?
Credentials were updated in either Mews or D-edge and this change was not reflected in one of the systems
- Compare
username
andpassword
between Mews and D-edge - If they do not match, fix them.
- Enable disabled operations. Send a push for one day to check if it succeeds (you will receive another error notification email if it fails).
- If the push succeeds, you do not need to send a manual push. Inventory update for all the changes that were made while operations were disabled will be sent automatically.
- If the push fails, please open a ticket with [email protected] and add your D-edge contact in the copy.

Connection issue
There is also a possibility of a bug, which needs to be confirmed by ruling out the first two options.
