In order to automate the analysis of exported reports, many Mews properties make use of Macros in Excel to run calculations.

💡 Mews advises properties to build macros based on labels & cell location, as such the addition or removal of columns and/or changes to column titles will result in existing macros not functioning.

To prevent the aforementioned scenario, the following steps must be followed if there are any changes to report fields in Mews.

  1. Weekly check Mews Release Notes page. Once we start actively working on the issue that will be affecting Macros, a “Coming soon” release note will be created to make clients aware of the changes. The release note will be published at least one business week in advance.
  2. Update your template on time. A sample of the updated excel will be attached to the release note so that users are able to create a new Macro based on the updates.
