In order to automate the analysis of exported reports, many Mews properties make use of macros in Excel to run calculations.

💡 Mews advises properties to build macros based on labels & cell location. So the addition or removal of columns and/or changes to column titles will result in existing macros not functioning.

To prevent this, follow these steps if there are any changes to report fields in Mews:

  1. Check the Mews Release Notes page weekly. Once we start actively working on an issue that will affect macros, a “Coming soon” release note will be created to make clients aware of the changes. This note will be published at least one business week in advance.

  2. Update your template on time. A sample of the updated excel will be attached to the release note so that users can create a new Macro based on the updates.
