Guests are able to pay for reservations during the booking process (rather than through payment requests, for example) as long as the reservation meets the following criteria:
- Only automatic rates with settlement triggers in the past, or the "On confirmation" settlement trigger, are eligible for payment during the booking process. Manual rates or rates with settlement triggers in the future are not charged during the booking flow.
How it works
Guests are redirected to the secure payment gateway where they can see the status of their payment in real time and immediately attempt to retry in case payment fails.
Following successful payment and authentication, guests are directed right back to the booking engine.
