When you create a new space category in Mews, you might need to add this new space category in your Channel manager integration as well. Otherwise, information about this space category will not be communicated to the Channel manager.

Note: You should add the new space category first in your OTAs, then in the Channel manager, and last in Mews.

Step 1. Map the new space category

  1. Navigate to Menu > Marketplace > My subscription and find your Channel manager integration. In the Channel manager integration settings, click Channel manager categories.

  2. Click on the + button in the top right corner.

  3. In the Channel manager ID field, enter the room code you can see in the Channel manager. If you don't know where to find it, you can contact their team for assistance.

  4. Under Category, select the space category that you want to map.

  5. Select the Synchronized checkbox to send availability updates to the Channel manager.
    Note: If a space category is unsynchronized, no updates are being sent.

  6. Click Create.

  7. Repeat steps 2-5 for every space category that you want to map with the Channel Manager.

Step 2. Connect the new space category to the rates

After you have mapped the new space categories, you need to add them to the rates they are available for.

  1. Go back to the Channel manager settings.

  2. This time, select Channel manager rates.

  3. Find the rate you want to add the rooms to, and click on the Channel manager ID.

  4. Connect the rate to one or more space categories:

    5. Click +, and then click + Channel manager category to only connect specific space categories (for example, if it's a promotional rate that doesn't apply to all rooms).
