Step 1: Connect Google Hotel Search

  1. Go to Main menu > Marketplace.

  2. Under Categories, click Distribution.

  3. Find the Google Hotel Search integration and click See more.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 2: Update mapped space categories

When you connect the Google Hotel Search integration, Mews automatically maps all of your space categories. If you don't want to send a space category to Google Hotel Search, you can remove it.

To remove mapped space categories:

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Google Hotel Search integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Find the rate that the space category is connected to, and click on the channel manager ID.

  5. In the Channel manager categories section, find the space category you want to remove and click the icon.

  6. Click Delete.

  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every space category that you don't want to send to Google Hotel Search.

If you want to add more space categories in the future, you can map them.

To map new space categories:

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Google Hotel Search integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager categories.

  4. Click on +.

  5. Under Category, select the space category you want to send to Google Hotel Search. The system automatically adds the mapping code.

  6. Select the Synchronized checkbox to send availability updates to the channel manager.
Note: If a space category is unsynchronized, no updates are sent.

  7. Click Create.

  8. Repeat steps 5-7 for every space category that you want to map.

NOTE:

  • The mapping code has the format: 1717b741-7785-4dd1-b42c-434975f413d4, and it is non-modifiable.

  • Google Hotel Search requires the mapping code to generate a deeplink, to re-direct bookers to the appropriate step in Mews.

Step 3: Update mapped rates

When you connect the Google Hotel integration, Mews automatically maps all of your public rates.

You can remove some rates entirely (so reservations can't be made with them).

To remove mapped rates:

If you want to completely remove a rate so no reservations can be created with it, delete or unsynchronize the rate in the Google Hotel Search integration.

Alternatively, if you want to add new rates in the future, you can map them.

To map new rates:

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Google Hotel Search integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Click on +.

  5. Under Rate, select the rate you want to send to Google Hotel Search. The system automatically adds the mapping code.

NOTE: Only map the public rates, as only public rates are visible in Mews.

  6. Select the Synchronized checkbox to send price and restriction updates to Google Hotel Search.
Note: If a rate is unsynchronized, no updates are sent.

  7. Click Create.

  8. Repeat steps 5-7 for every rate that you want to map.

NOTE:

  • The mapping code has the format: 1717b741-7785-4dd1-b42c-434975f413d4, and it is non-modifiable.

  • Google Hotel Search requires this code to generate a deeplink, to re-direct bookers to the appropriate step in Mews.

Step 4: Connect the space categories to rates

  1. In Mews Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Google Hotel Search integration and click Settings.

  3. Click Channel manager rates.

  4. Find the rate you want, and click on the channel manager ID.

  5. Connect the rate to one or more space categories:
    — Click +, and then click + Channel manager category to only connect specific space categories (for example, if it's a promotional rate).
    — Click to connect all mapped space categories to the rate.

Step 5: Update Mews Booking Engine

You need to update the default Mews Booking Engine to have your property bookable in Google Hotel Search.

  • Follow this guide to update Mews Booking Engine.

  • Make sure that you have the same space categories mapped in the Google Hotel Search integration as in Mews.

NOTE: Each Mews property account requires its own booking engine. You cannot use one Mews booking engine with several Google integrations. Therefore, a property such as a chain hotel needs to have a separate Mews Booking Engine for each of its hotels.

Step 6: Enable the integration

  1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate the Google Hotel Search integration and click Settings.

  3. Select the Enabled checkbox.

  4. In the Enabled operations section, make sure that Upload availability, Upload rates, Upload restrictions, and Change notification are selected.

  5. Click Save.

  6. In the Options section at the bottom:
    — Under Action, select Push inventory.
    — Under From, select today's date.
    — Under To, select 365 days from today.

  7. Click OK.

Step 7: Wait for Google Hotel Search activation

  • Google Hotel Search needs up to 48 hours to make your listing visible. Just wait for the activation, you don't need to take any additional steps.

Note: Due to high demand, activations can take up to 2 weeks because of Google's manual process of price accuracy checks. Please wait the full 2 weeks before contacting Support.

  • Mews doesn't receive or have information about activation status.

  • Mews cannot speed up onboarding.

  • To check your status, please go to your Google Business account.
