Packages

It is important that the night price Mews sends to Google Hotel Search matches the night price you have in Mews. That's why you have to include your packages in the night price.

Inclusive packages

To create a breakfast rate or any other service/product inclusive rates, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a product

Create a product that you want to offer inclusive of night price.

Remember: In the Options field:

—Check the Exclude price from offer box.

—Uncheck the Selected by default and Offer to customer boxes.

—You can check all other options as required.

Step 2: Create an accommodation adjustment

You require an accommodation adjustment product to balance out the packaged product. For example, if the night price is 100 EUR inclusive of breakfast which costs 10 EUR, the reservation shows 90 EUR night and 10 EUR breakfast.

  1. Create an accommodation adjustment product that you want to balance out.

  2. Assign an accommodation accounting category to the accommodation adjustment product. This is to maintain your accounting correctly, as the discount comes from the night cost.

  3. In the Options field,

—Check the Exclude price from offer box.

—Uncheck the Selected by default and Offer to customer boxes.

—You can check all the other options if required.

Note: The price of the accommodation adjustment product has to be negative to balance out the product price. For example, if in Step 1 you create a product with a price of 10 EUR, the accommodation adjustment price has to be -10 EUR.

Step 3: Package product and accommodation adjustment

To automatically assign both product and accommodation adjustment to reservations, create a product rule.

NOTE: We recommend using origin- Distributor for the product rule condition to ensure that it only applies on reservations made via Mews.

Exclusive packages

If you want to set up packages that are exclusive of the night price, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a product

Follow this guide to create a product. In the Options field:

—Uncheck Exclude price from offer box.

—Uncheck Selected by default and Offer to customer boxes.

—You can check all the other options as required.

Step 2: Map the product

  1. In Mews Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

  2. Locate your Channel manager integration and click Settings.

  3. Click on + to map a product.

  4. In the Channel manager ID section, enter any number.

Note: It doesn't matter which number you choose. Adding a number in this field makes it possible to package the product with a rate.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for every product that you want to send to Google Hotel Search.

Step 3: Connect the mapped product to a mapped rate

1. In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.

2. Locate your Channel manager integration and click Settings.

3. Click Channel manager rates.

4. Find the rate you want to package a product with, and click on the channel manager ID.

5. Click on +, and then click + Channel manager product.

6. Under Product, select the product you want.

7. Click Create.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 for every product that you want to be available via your Channel manager.

Note: Repeat these steps with the same rate to package it with multiple products.

City tax and other fees

You have to inform your guests about extra fees such as city tax, resort fee and other legally required fees in advance.

  • You can add this information to your rate description, or

  • You can manage City tax and other legally required fees as explained here or

  • You can package them inclusive or exclusive of the night price as explained here.

Step 4: Create a product rule

To create a product rule for the packaged product, follow this guide.
