Here you can find information about what languages we can display and support in Mews.

Data input

Mews uses Unicode to represent the characters of every language. Therefore we support nearly every language, even Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Every character that can be represented as Unicode can be used as a data input for Mews. That means Mews supports customers from all over the world.

Displaying pages in a certain language

Each user (employee or guest) can choose their language. Mews then tries to display the page in the given language. This depends on whether Mews actually has translated the labels into the language specified. If the labels are not translated into the provided language, US English labels are shown.

Technically we are capable of translating labels to just about any language (which can be mapped to Unicode). The only catch is that Mews only supports left-to-right text. So right-to-left is not possible, nor is top-down. That rules out Arabic and specific versions of Asian languages. Most of these Asian languages have a left-to-right variation, which we can use.
