You can assign properties to a central rate group in Mews Multi-Property. This creates:
- a local rate group in each assigned property, and
- links those local rate groups to the central rate group.
Rate groups linked to a central rate group enable you to make changes in one place while the system automatically applies those changes to the linked rate groups. This eliminates the need for you to search for local individual local rate groups, and then select and edit them in bulk.

To assign properties to a central rate group and propagate the changes to all linked rate groups:
-
In your Mews Multi-Property account, go to the main menu
> Rate management > Rate groups.
-
On the Central rate groups tab, click on the number under the Properties column of the rate group you want to assign properties to as below. You can also click on the Rate group name and then click on the Properties tab.
-
On the Properties tab,
- If there are no properties assigned to the central rate group, click Add properties.
- If you assigned some properties to the central rate group, you see the list of properties linked to that central rate group. Click
to assign additional properties to the central rate group.
-
Click Properties, then click to select the properties you want to assign from the Properties dropdown.
These properties need to meet the following criteria:
- Not assigned to that central rate group.
- Do not have a service with the same service key as the central rate group. Note: Only properties with services having the same service key appear in the dropdown.
- You can select one or multiple properties, then click Assign. Note: The Assign button is clickable only after you select one or more properties.
This creates a local rate group in each property you select.
You can unassign properties from a central rate group. This unlinks the local rate group belonging to the property you are unassigning. Note: When you edit this central rate group, the unlinked local rate group does update to reflect those changes.
To unassign properties from a central rate group:
- In your Mews Multi-Property account, go to the main menu
> Rate management > Rate groups.
- On the Central rate groups tab, click on the number under the Properties column of the rate group you want to unassign properties from. You can also click on the Rate group name and then click on the Properties tab.

-
To unassign the property from the central rate group, click Remove.

Upon the successful removal of a property from a central rate group, the system unlinks the previously linked local rate group within the removed property, from the central rate group. It no longer receives updates when you edit the central rate group.
