How to connect Mews Terminal S1 to Mews POS

Mews Terminal S1 is a fully integrated payment processing device that you can use with Mews POS to minimize staff workload and offer a seamless payment experience for your customers.

 

Note: To use Mews Terminals S1, you need to contact your Customer Success Manager to activate Mews Payments on your account.

 

Before connecting your Mews Terminal S1 to Mews POS, in Mews Operations: 

  • Connect your terminal to the Mews Terminal integration. You can learn more about getting started with your Mews Terminal S1 here. 
  • Enable the Optional credit card payment details option from your property’s accounting configuration settings.
  • Ensure your mobile device runs on Android 8.0 or a later version.

 

To connect the Mews Terminal S1 to the Mews POS application: 

  1. In Mews POS, go to the main menu > Settings > Card reader.
  2. Tap Search for remote Mews Terminals.
    Note:
    • If you don’t see this button, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to activate Mews Payments on your account.
    • To use Mews Terminals S1, you need to turn on your device's location and grant Mews POS app location permissions.


  1. Connected card readers: Click on the card reader you want to use with your device.
  2. Name: Enter a customized name for the terminal in the application.
  3. Tap Select.

 

You can now use the selected terminal to charge for an order once you choose Card on the payment methods screen. Note: You need to connect the terminal to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
