To add external payment options in Mews, such as cheque, iDeal. PayPal, etc., follow these steps:
- If you don't have one already, create an Accounting Category for the type of payment you are adding.
- Go to the Main menu > Settings > Property > Finance > Accounting Configuration.
- From the General settings tab, under External payment types, choose the payment methods that want to have available.
- From the Accounting categories tab, scroll down to External payments and add the correct accounting category to each external payment method from the drop-down list.
- The selected payment options are now available in the Billing screen under External payments.
Note: In France, the Unspecified external payment type is considered a type of tax fraud. This option is unavailable for selection in French properties.
