Multiple warehouses and stock transfers in Mews POS

Warehouses in Mews POS are digital representations of the storage locations you use for your restaurant operations. Warehouses can have stock assigned to them, to keep track of inventory between locations. Warehouses can be accessed via the Mews POS web dashboard. In Mews POS, you can use as many warehouses as you wish, and each warehouse can be linked to a different outlet. If you have multiple warehouses, you can make stock transfers between two warehouses.

Here's how to use multiple warehouses and complete stock transfers:

  1. Log in to your web dashboard as an administrator.
  2. In the main menu go to Inventory, then Stock transfers.
  3. Click  .
  4. Date: Enter the time and date of transfer. Note: The system automatically assigns the current time and date which you can manually edit.
  5. Source Warehouse: Click the drop-down menu to select the source warehouse.
  6. Destination warehouse: Click the drop-down menu to select the destination warehouse.
  7. Item: Click to select an item in the drop-down menu and enter the quantity that you wish to transfer from the source warehouse to the destination warehouse. Repeat this step for all items you would like to transfer. Note: Optionally, enter a stock transfer number under the Stock transfer number label.

  8. To finish and close the transfer, click EXECUTE. Note: To save as a draft for further editing without execution, click SAVE.

Once you execute the stock transfer all given item quantities move from the source warehouse to the destination warehouse. Note: There can be only one source warehouse and only one destination warehouse per transfer.

You can later delete closed and saved stock transfers from the list by selecting the transfer and clicking the  button.
