Connecting your TLJ key encoders to Mews Operations is a great way to cut down on check-in time and simplify processes. After you set up the TLJ integration, you can cut keys directly in Mews Operations without ever needing to use the TLJ application.

Note: You need to specify whether Mews Connector should act as the Client end of the connection or the Server end. To do this:

  1. Go to Settings > Property > DeviceHubs.
  2. Select the device name.
  3. Under Features, select Fias server.
  4. Click Save.

System requirements

To set up the TLJ integration, you need:

  • A TLJ license that supports PMS connection: If you don't have a TLJ license that supports PMS connections, or you are not sure, contact TLJ support to request an upgrade.
  • To install both the Mews Connector and the TLJ lock server, on the same computer at your property. If you have not installed the Mews Connector at your property yet, you can see our help article about how to install it here

TLJ Lock Server

To complete the integration:
  • You need to access the on-premise computer where you installed both Mews Connector and the TLJ Lock Server.

  • You need access to Mews Operations in the cloud.

Step 4: Set up the TLJ key cutters

Repeat the following process for each key cutter or encoder. In each case, you need the Front Desk Name from the TLJ key cutter or encoder, and set that up in Mews to correctly map  each key cutter.

For each key cutter or encoder:

  1. On the computer where the TLJ key cutter is installed, go to Program Files > Hotel Lock and run ini.exe to obtain the Front Desk Name. Make a note of this value for later.

  2. Click on Edit to go to the settings page.
  3. Click Key cutter mappings and click the + button.
  4. Under Room, select a space name or room number from the drop-down list.
  5. In the Lock identifier field, enter the corresponding space name or room number as it appears in the TLJ application
  6. Click Create.

Repeat steps 1 - 6 above for every space name or room number that you need to map.
