Troubleshooting Visionline key encoding issues

What are the most common errors when encoding a key with Visionline?

 

When Visionline is not able to encode a key, there are two main reasons (that you can find in the “developerMessage” section of Visionline’s message):

 

  • NG_E_DCE_CARD_TIMEOUT_ERROR - indicates a timeout error. Check to following article to learn how to fix it: Why do I get a "Encoder timed out" error message?
  • NG_E_DCE_SMARTCARD_WRITE_ERROR - refers to check-out time error, where the value of expiration time cannot be in the past. Check to following article to learn how to fix it: Check-out time error.
