Why join now rather than wait

• Ledger benefits sooner: faster accounting data availability, direct reconciliation with Mews Ledgers, and transparent corrections, starting today instead of whenever your standard rollout date arrives.

• Higher-touch support and priority resolution: close collaboration with Omniboost, with any pilot-related issues treated as top priority.

• No separate migration later: you start directly on the integration Mews is moving everyone towards, so there is no second transition down the road.

• It's happening either way: your integration will move onto ledger data eventually, so joining now means hands-on guidance from Omniboost rather than an automatic switch later with less support.

• No risk to your live data: the pilot runs in parallel with your existing integration, so it doesn't affect your live data feed.

Your accounting data can be reconciled directly against Mews' financial reporting suite, including the Trial Balance and Ledger Activity Report.

What happens?	Omniboost switches your integration to the ledger-based version now, running in parallel with your existing integration.	Your integration keeps running as-is until your standard rollout date, then switches automatically.
Will it be tested?	Yes, with close collaboration from Omniboost, and no risk to your live data since the pilot runs alongside your existing integration.	Yes. Once your rollout date arrives, you get guidance to reconcile any differences, but without the extended pilot support.
Support	Closer, hands-on support from Omniboost throughout. Pilot issues are top priority.	Standard support once your migration date is confirmed.
Additional considerations	As this is still in pilot, additional issues may surface compared with the fully rolled-out version. We ask for active participation: up to two 30-minute calls and timely feedback.	No extra time commitment now, but you are migrated automatically later regardless.

What changes once you join

• Source of data: order items → ledger entries (revenue, tax and payment ledger movements, as well as deposit, guest and city ledger movements).

• Granularity: unchanged, you can optionally add mapping codes to split outstanding balances into deposit, guest and city ledger.

• Reconciliation: your postings tie to the Ledger Activity Report and trial balance in Mews, with outstanding balances split into deposit, guest and city ledger balances.

• What doesn't change: your connection, your accounting system and your delivery schedule.

What being a pilot involves

You need to be fully configured in both Mews and your accounting system, and validate the test data provided:

• Validate up to one month of financial data, depending on integration complexity.

• Be available for up to two 30-minute calls with Omniboost and provide timely feedback.

• Expect that additional issues may surface, since the integration is still being validated for your setup: these are treated as top priority.

• Consider shortening your end-of-day/EHW window and setting up a clear business day cutoff, the same adjustment we recommend to properties migrating automatically.

This pilot covers the accrual (consumed) accounting flow only; cash-basis or closed-period accounting is not currently in scope.

How to join

If you'd rather not join right now

That’s completely fine, no action is needed. Your property will be migrated automatically once your integration’s standard rollout date arrives, and we’ll contact you in advance with everything you need.

FAQ

Why is this change happening? Mews has rebuilt its financial reporting around ledger data: immutable, accounting-compliant entries that accurately reflect your property’s financial activity. The result is a more reliable data source, a cleaner audit trail, and a setup that stays consistent with what you see inside Mews.

 

Does joining the pilot change how I use my accounting system? The pilot changes the source of the financial data sent from Mews, not your accounting system itself. Omniboost will confirm any integration-specific setup requirements with you.

 

What happens if we find a problem during the pilot? Mews and Omniboost will work with you to investigate and resolve it. Pilot-related issues are treated as a top priority by Omniboost.

 

Will I have to change my integration again later if I join the pilot? No. You start directly on the Ledger-based integration rather than migrating separately later.
