How do minimum advance restrictions work for channel managers?

When you create a minimum advance restriction in Mews, you might see that one of the dates is still open in the channel manager extranet. The way restrictions are applied is based on the technical requirements of each channel manager.

Mews sends the minimum advance booking restrictions every day at the property’s check-in time.

For example, if your property's check-in time is set to 15:00h, and you create a two-day minimum advance restriction for January 1st, then on January 1st at 15:00h Mews applies the restriction both for January 1st from 15.00h and the entire day of January 2nd.

How to set up a one-day minimum advance booking restriction

To restrict the bookers from creating a reservation earlier than one day in advance, Mews recommends creating a restriction for two days instead of one day as a minimum advance. In this way, the respective date always remains closed. The same criteria apply for any number of days (create a three-day restriction for two days, etc.).
