The Hotel Trader integration provides global distribution of your properties' rates and availability, direct from Mews Operations. You can set up this integration in Mews Operations and update rates, availability, and restrictions in Hotel Trader, to receive reservations in Mews Operations.
This channel manager is a two-way connection, meaning that Mews Operations manages availability, rates, and restrictions, while Hotel Trader pushes reservations into Mews Operations.

In this article, you can learn how to receive reservations in Mews Operations through the Hotel Trader integration:
To connect and configure the Hotel Trader integration:
Complete steps 1 – 9 in the article here.
When you connect the Hotel Trader integration from the Mews Marketplace, the system automatically sends a notification to the Hotel Trader operations team. If there is a signed agreement between your property and Hotel Trader, they add the property to their system. If not, the Hotel Trader Acquisition Team contacts you to sign an agreement.
Once you complete the configuration, you need to run a number of tests in the process detailed below.
Once a signed agreement between your property and Hotel Trader is in place, the Hotel Trader operations team performs an audit to test whether the integration is functioning as expected.
The process consists of the following steps:
- Hotel Trader manually updates the check-in time, as they do not receive this information via Mews Operations.
- Hotel Trader performs another import to retrieve the cancellation policies. Hotel Trader uses the metadata information that they receive from the Onboarding Document.
- When the onboarding document is ready, Hotel Trader requests an ARI Push of minimum 365 days, from your property by email.
- Once the Hotel Trader team receives the ARI push, they audit the property to check if they have the following requirements:
-
- The correct rates, i.e., the discount agreed off the Best Available Rate.
- The correct restrictions, which they check in the advanced ARI search. Refer to the screenshot below:
After completing the audit, Hotel Trader makes a test booking and asks your property to confirm if everything, including booking cancellations, works correctly.
Once you confirm this, Hotel Trader sends the following email to your property:
Hi (X),
The test bookings have been canceled successfully and we will now proceed to go live (X) Hotel (XXXXX).
As a next step, (name of the Acquisition Director) will coordinate a call with you and will introduce you to your Account Manager (X) and review the reporting structure and goals for the partnership.
