The D-Edge channel manager integration provides global distribution of your properties' rates and availability, direct from Mews Operations. You can set up this integration in Mews Operations and update rates, availability, and restrictions in D-Edge, to receive reservations in Mews Operations. This channel manager is a two-way connection, meaning that Mews Operations manages availability, rates, and restrictions, while D-Edge pushes reservations into Mews Operations. Mews does not send reservations to D-Edge.
Note
- If you're already live with Mews, Mews does not configure the integrations for you. If you have any problems fixing the mapping errors within Mews, contact the Mews Support Team by submitting a support ticket through the Mews Digital Assistant.
- To avoid price discrepancies, ensure that the D-Edge extranet, D-Edge booking engine and all connected channels are set up in the correct pricing environment and match the Mews pricing environment. You can learn more about the D-Edge pricing environment here.
- Make sure to purchase D-Edge before connecting this integration.
- You need your hotel, room, rate, service/extra, and OTA/travel agency codes from D-Edge. Contact D-Edge support at [email protected] to request a PMS configuration document.
- If you want to use products in Mews Operations, contact D-Edge and ask them to set products up for you and provide product mapping codes.
- The D-Edge integration can work in both net and gross pricing environments. You must ensure that the pricing environment in D-edge and the channels match your pricing environment in Mews.

Note: When setting a product in D-edge extranet, you need to choose if you want the product to be included/ excluded in the reservation total price. This defines how Mews calculates the reservation price.
This step is optional. You should complete this only if you want to assign reservations received from the channel manager to a company in Mews Operations.
For each travel agency profile, you want to map, complete the steps in the article here.
Step 3: Test the integration
Before you enable all operations in the integration, you need to test that everything works correctly. On the pre-arranged testing day, D-Edge sends you a connectivity password in a separate email, and you need to add it to your integration settings before you can test your connection.
Add your password
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Marketplace.
- Locate your D-Edge integration, and click Edit to go to the settings.
- Under Password, enter the password you received.

> Queues > Channel manager, and click on any inventory updates with a Failed status to see the errors.
- If the inventory update is successful, the system sends an email to the address you enter in the Notification email field.
- When you have no mapping errors, log in to your D-Edge account and compare the availability, rates, and restrictions to those in Mews Operations.
- If they don't match, make sure you do not have commissions, markups, or restrictions in D-Edge. If you need help with this step, contact D-Edge support at: [email protected].
Test reservations
Step 1: Download the test reservation

> Marketplace > My subscriptions.
- Locate your D-Edge integration, and click Edit to go to the settings.

- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Marketplace > My subscriptions.
- Locate your D-Edge integration, and click Edit to go to the settings.

D-Edge connection can be 2-way or 1.5 way.
- 2- way connection means that Mews manages availability, rates and restrictions and reservations are pushed from D-Edge into Mews.
- 1.5- way connection means that Mews manages some inventory and reservations are pushed from D-Edge.
- If you wish to manage restrictions from D-Edge, you should disable Upload restrictions and Upload rates in Mews. If you keep Upload rates enabled, Mews sends restrictions as part of the rate update. Additionally, you need to disable PMS restriction updates in D-Edge's extranet as well. Afterwards, you need to set restrictions on rate-level D-Edge to apply them correctly.
- If you wish to manage rates from D-Edge, you should disable Upload rates and Upload restrictions in Mews. If you keep Upload restrictions enabled, Mews sends rates as part of the restriction update.
- Upload availability does not depend on other inventory operations. Mews strongly recommends to always manage availability from Mews.
You can reach out to D-Edge support if you have any questions about inventory management in D-Edge extranet.
D-edge and payment cards
If a reservation comes with the following note "Failed to create payment card. Please check card details and try again.", it means PCI-Proxy did not process card details and therefore failed to be added in Mews.
This could happen because D-Edge does not check if cards are valid. In this case you should do the following:
- Check payment card details, whether they look valid in D-Edge extranet. Only key property users have access to card details.
- If payment card details seem valid, you should contact D-Edge client service to investigate what exactly was sent to Mews.
Sometimes configuration errors can happen. When they do, they can block all inventory updates even if it is a mapping issue with just one rate. This is nothing to worry about, as Mews automatically detects the cause of the configuration error, so other updates continue.
-
RoomMappingError means that the mentioned space category is not mapped in D-Edge and therefore cannot be updated. When this happens, Mews unmaps the mentioned space category from all mapped rates.
Room ([RoomCode]) is invalid or not configured in Availpro PMS mapping
-
RateMappingError means that the mentioned rate is not mapped in D-Edge and therefore cannot be updated. When this happens, Mews unsynchronizes the mentioned rate.
Rate ([RateCode]) is invalid or not configured in Availpro PMS mapping
-
RoomRateMapping means that the mentioned space category is not mapped to a the mentioned rate in D-Edge and therefore cannot be updated. When this happens, Mews unmaps the mentioned space category from all mapped rates.
The combination of Room ([RoomCode]) and Rate ([RateCode]) is invalid or not configured in Availpro PMS mapping
Some errors result in automatic disablement of channel manager operations in Mews and require your immediate actions.
- The two errors below mean that your connection configuration with D-Edge is not complete. For example, it could be still disabled in D-Edge. When Mews receives them, it automatically disables Update inventory or Download reservation operations. This depends on what operation was running, when Mews encountered the error,
- if it was inventory update, then Restrictions, Rates and Availability is disabled.
- If it was a reservation download job, then Download reservations is disabled.
Hotel ([HotelCode]) is not activated for this provider account ([GroupId])
Hotel ([HotelCode]) is not linked to provider account ([GroupId]) or is unknown
- Bad authentication error means that D-Edge did not accept credentials set in Mews. When Mews receives them, it automatically disables Update inventory or Download reservation operations. This depends on what operation was running, when Mews encountered the error.
- If it was inventory update, then Restrictions, Rates and Availability are disabled.
- If it was a reservation download job, then Download reservations is disabled.
Credentials are invalid for this Hotel ([HotelCode]) and provider account ([GroupId])
You can find more on how to take action in case of Bad authentication error here.
Choose the automatic password reset option
French legislation requires integration passwords to be updated every year. If your property does not meet this requirement, D-edge stops sending credit card details over to Mews.
Choosing this option ensures:
- no outdated passwords. Credentials are reset and updated automatically in both systems.
- properties stay PCI-compliant.
- safe card flow between D-edge and Mews.
To choose the automatic password reset option:
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Marketplace > My subscriptions.
- Locate the D-edge integration and click Edit to go to the settings.
- In the Enabled operations section, select Change password.
- Click Save.
