Receive reservations using the Staycation channel manager for Mews Operations

The Staycation channel manager integration provides global distribution of your properties' rates and availability, direct from Mews Operations. You can set up this integration in Mews Operations and update rates, availability, and restrictions in Staycation, to receive reservations in Mews Operations. This channel manager is a two-way connection, meaning that Mews Operations manages availability, rates, and restrictions, while Staycation pushes reservations into Mews Operations. Staycation provides real-time updates of your properties rates and availability across multiple channels.

Note
  • If you're already live with Mews, Mews does not configure the entire channel manager integrations for you. If you have any problems fixing the mapping errors within Mews, contact the Mews Support Team by submitting a support ticket through the Mews Digital Assistant.
  • Make sure to have a contract with Staycation before connecting this integration.
  • Please note that this partner is only open for bookings up to 8 weeks in advance. The system marks all dates beyond this window as closed.
  • The partner does not support the use of the following restrictions:
    • Closed to arrival
    • Closed to departure
    • Minimum length of stay
    • Maximum length of stay
  • The partner does not support group bookings.

Step 1: Connect and configure the Staycation integration

To connect and configure the Staycation integration, complete steps 1 – 3 in the article here.

 

Note:

  • Space Category Code must contain only numeric values.
  • Rate Code supports only the following values:
    • public_rate
    • staycation_rate

 

Map companies and travel agency contracts (optional)

This step is optional. You should complete this only if you want to assign reservations received from the channel manager to a company in Mews Operations.

 

For each travel agency profile, you want to map, complete the steps in the article here.

 

Map channel manager age categories (optional)

This step is optional. You should only complete this if you want reservations from the channel manager to include age category information.

 

To receive reservations with age categories through your channel manager and correctly allocate each guest with a respective age category, you need to map them in the channel manager age category mapping.

Step 2: Test the integration

Testing the integration allows you to check whether you configured the integration correctly. You can test this with a small set of reservations for the next 7 days.
