How to connect VisBook and BookVisit to Atomize RMS by Mews

Atomize RMS by Mews optimizes your room rates automatically based on demand. When you use VisBook and BookVisit, you connect them to the RMS to keep your pricing dynamic and competitive. You need to begin this setup during onboarding with the RMS. You complete the process at your property by submitting your data through a secure form linked in your welcome email from Mews.

Note: If you do not retrieve and submit correct data, the system cannot complete the setup due to lack of the required information.

In this article you can learn about the following steps:

Step 1: Submit access credentials

  1. Contact Bookvisit via [email protected] and request your API key activation and the organization ID.
  2. Open the secure form from your Atomize welcome email.
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • For VisBook: Note: you obtain these when onboarding with Visbook
      • VisBook username
      • VisBook password
      • VisBook company ID
    • For BookVisit
      • BookVisit API key
      • BookVisit organization ID

Note:

  • The link submits all data securely.
  • Mews cannot configure your integration without these details.

Step 2: Share revenue account IDs

The RMS reads revenue data from your VisBook accounts. To ensure the RMS connects correctly:

  1. Find the account IDs in your VisBook accounting setup.
  2. Enter the IDs in the form you open in step one, exactly as they appear.

Note:

  • The RMS tracks revenue only from the accounts you provide. It categorizes all other accounts as OTHER.
  • If you make changes in the mapping later in the PMS, this leads to incorrect KPI in the RMS. Make sure to update new changes.

Step 3: Map room types

To connect the RMS, you must enter your room types in VisBook and BookVisit into the form you open in step one.

  1. List all room types from both systems.
  2. For each room type, enter the:
    • VisBook room type ID and name
    • BookVisit RoomID and RoomTypeCode

Note: If you cannot access the IDs, use the exact room type names as in each system.

Step 4: Map rate plans

You must also provide a mapping of your rate plans across VisBook and BookVisit.

  1. Enter each rate plan into the form you open in step one, and include:
    • VisBook rate code and name, called price group in VisBook.
    • BookVisit RatePlanID and name

Note: Use the exact names if you cannot provide IDs. Correct mapping ensures that the RMS updates prices accurately.

Step 5: Indicate guest-based pricing

If your pricing changes based on the number of guests in a room, you confirm this in the form. You must:

  1. Specify whether Target Rate Base pricing applies.
  2. Enter details for:
    • Room types or rate plans using guest-based pricing
    • Guest levels you use. For example, 1 guest, 2 guests, 3 guests.

Note: Mews sets up multipax pricing based on the data you provide. You must confirm where pricing changes by guest count.

Step 5: Complete the final onboarding form

  1. Click submit on the form.
  2. You will receive a signup link after Mews review, after a few days.
  3. Open the signup link you receive. For example,
    https://pms-signup.atomize.one/visbook?checksum=XXXX
  4. Complete the final onboarding form to activate your integration.

This completes configuration of the RMS with VisBook and BookVisit.
