Kitchen receipts help chefs prepare orders accurately and on time by showing only the information they need. As a Mews POS administrator, you configure the kitchen receipt template in the Mews POS web dashboard to match your kitchen workflow. You do this to improve communication between your front-of-house and kitchen teams.

- Sign in to the Mews POS web dashboard as an administrator.
- Click Settings > Templates.
- In the top-right corner, click on the Choose receipt template drop-down, then click Kitchen.

This creates a separate receipt for each course, so chefs see only the items they prepare.

- To include both the course name and the items on each note, click Print items on course away to slide the switch to the right, or
- To include only the course name, click to slide it to the left.
Note: A course-away note alerts the kitchen when to start preparing the next course.
Step 4: Add extra space at the top of the receipt
Help staff handle receipts easily during busy service.
- For clipping receipts to dishes or pass rails, click Add empty space on top to slide the switch to the right to add top-margin space. Or,
- To remove the space and reduce paper usage, click to slide it to the left .

Save paper and simplify prep for smaller teams.
- To print all courses on one kitchen receipt, click Slide Split order into courses to slide the switch to the left.
Step 6: Save and preview your changes
- Click Save to apply your settings.
- To view the changes, refresh the page to reload the kitchen template, or print a test receipt from the Mews POS app.
