Trusted Device Authorization is a feature that ensures only approved devices can access your Mews account, to enhance your account security. You can authorize multiple devices as trusted when logging in to Mews. You can view and manage your trusted devices via the Privacy and security tab on your user Account screen in Mews Operations.
You can remove a trusted device from your user account to remotely log out of it. Admins can also view and manage trusted devices for all users via the Users screen, on the Devices and activity tab of the user profile.

How to manage trusted devices with Trusted Device Authorization
You can remove a trusted device from your Mews user account to remotely log out of it, or if you are an Admin, you can manage and remove trusted devices for your users.
After removing a trusted device, you need to verify the device again on the next login. You can learn more about adding a new trusted device here.
Remove a trusted device from your user account
- In Mews Operations, click the user icon at the top right.
- Click
to go to your Mews user account:
- Click on the Privacy and security tab, then scroll down to the Trusted devices section. You can see a list of your trusted devices:
Note: By default, the system displays 5 devices. If you have more trusted devices, click Show all devices.
- Click to select Remove alongside the device you want to log out of.
- On the confirmation message that appears, click Remove.
The system displays the following success message. This removes the device from the list and logs you out of the device.

Remove a trusted device from another user account
Admins can view all users’ trusted devices via the Users screen. If you are an Admin, you can remove a trusted device from another user’s account.
To do so:
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Settings > Users.
- Click the name of the user you want to remove a trusted device for. This opens the user account information:
- Select the Devices and activity tab.
- In the Trusted devices section, click Remove alongside the device you want to log the user out of. Note: By default, the system displays 5 devices. If you have more trusted devices, click Show all devices.
- On the confirmation message that appears, click Remove.
This logs the user out of the device and removes it from the Trusted devices section in the user account.
