How to move an open order to a new table in Mews POS if guests switch tables

Your guests may wish to move from one table to another, perhaps a friend has joined them, and they require a different, larger table, or they simply prefer the view. If your guests already have an open order, your staff can easily move them from one table to another within Mews POS Android app. 

 

To switch tables within Mew POS, 

1. Locate the open order you want to switch.
   • From the Table Plan screen,  
     1. Tap to view the table plan.
     2. Tap the table assigned to the open order  
     3. A Table Details side window opens, this displays all open orders assigned to that table, choose the order you want to switch and tap > Properties
        
        
        
        
        
   • From the Open orders screen,
     
     
     1. Tap to view the Open orders screen. 
     2. Locate the order from the list and tap > Properties. 
2.  The Save open order side window appears, under Selected tables tap Edit.
   
   
   
   
3. The side window opens a list of tables, locate the table assigned to the open order and tap the checkbox to disable it. 
4. Locate the table the guests are moving to and tap the checkbox to enable it. 
   
   
   
   
   
5. Tap Select 
6. Tap Save 

The open order switches to the newly assigned table, and your guests can continue their order.
