How to purchase System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM) for Mews

System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM) is a tool for hospitality professionals who require automated user management in Mews. It simplifies how you set up and manage your users, by synchronizing your user data across different systems, as you manage them in a single location using your Identity provider (IdP), for example, Microsoft Entra ID. This guide explains how to purchase SCIM for your Mews account and the steps to acquire and activate this feature.

SCIM user provisioning in Mews automates:

  • The process of setting up and managing user accounts and their access to Mews.
  • Adding and removing users, for example, employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assigning properties, roles, permissions, cashiers, learning paths and guest messages.

This is useful for your system administrators to reduce manual user management processes and allows you to manage users at any time via your Identity provider (IdP). You can learn more about setting up SCIM for Mews here.

Notes

  • To access and use SCIM in Mews, you need to first purchase and activate Single-Sign On (SSO), as part of the Identity Access Management package. You can learn more about SSO here.
  • You can purchase and use SCIM in Mews Operations and in Mews Multi-Property. The purchase and set-up process are the same for both subscription models, and you can access the configuration settings on the Security page.
  • If you use SCIM via Mews Operations, you can access it through the Identity Access Management package. You can learn more about this here
