Identity Access Management is a product you can purchase for your Mews account, that helps you securely manage your users, roles, permissions, access rights and more. It helps increase security on your Mews property or portfolio account, and that of your users. Your IT administrators can use Mews User Access to map existing users and group structures from your Identity Provider (IdP) to Mews.  

Identity Access Management consists of:

• Single-Sign On (SSO)

Single-Sign On (SSO) 

Single Sign-On or SSO is a user authentication service that lets you use one set of login credentials, for example, a username and password, to access multiple applications. Requiring only one set of login credentials for all accounts makes it easier and faster when you sign in on multiple applications.

Note: SSO is currently available for group contracts only. 

System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM)   

System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM) is a tool that helps automatically manage user information across your different systems, making it easier to add, update, and remove users in Mews. 

SCIM user provisioning in Mews automates:  

• The process of setting up and managing user accounts and their access to Mews. 
• Adding and removing users, such as during employee onboarding and offboarding. 
• Assigning properties, roles, cashiers, learning paths and other options. 

Notes:  

• To access and use SCIM in Mews, you need to first purchase the Identity Access Management package.  
• You can purchase and use SCIM in Mews Operations and in Mews Multi-Property. The purchase and set-up process are the same for both subscription models, and you can access the configuration settings on the Security page.
