How to track and analyze performance using Overview in Mews RMS

 

You use the overview dashboard to monitor recent performance, pricing, pickup, and competitor positioning in Mews RMS. As a revenue manager or property team member, you use this dashboard to review key performance data and make daily pricing decisions. You typically check the overview dashboard at the start of the day or before reviewing price recommendations. You can find it in Mews Operations, in the main menu under Revenue > Overview. Having all key metrics in one place means you can make informed pricing decisions quickly. Note that competitor pricing only appears after you configure competitor settings.

How to review key performance indicators

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menu  > Revenue > Overview.
  2. Review the key performance indicators shown on the dashboard:
    • ADR: Average daily rate, calculated as total room revenue divided by rooms sold.
    • Occupancy: The percentage of available rooms sold during the selected period.
    • Revenue: Total room revenue generated during the selected period.
    • RevPAR: Revenue per available room, calculated as ADR multiplied by occupancy rate.
  3. Compare the current values with the same time last year.

You can now spot trends and identify dates that need attention.

How to review competitor pricing

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menu  > Revenue > Overview.
  2. Click the space category dropdown and select a space category.
  3. Review your current OTA price for today and tomorrow.
  4. Compare your current online travel agency price with:
    • The recommended price from Mews RMS
    • The average competitor price
  5. Use the comparison to check your position in the market.

 

 

You can now understand how your current pricing compares with competitor prices.

  • Competitor pricing only appears after you configure competitor settings.

How to review pickup

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menuRevenue > Overview.
  2. Find the Pickup section.
  3. Click the pickup period dropdown and select the period you want to review.
  4. Review the room nights booked during the selected period.
  5. Review the revenue generated during the selected period.
  6. Review the stay dates with the highest pickup.

You can now identify recent booking activity and use it to support pricing decisions.

How to open detailed performance dashboards

For detailed analysis on a specific KPI, use the Insights dashboards in Mews Business Intelligence.

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Main menu  > Revenue > Insights.
  2. Click the dashboard you want to open from Mews Business Intelligence:
    • Pickup
    • Occupancy
    • ADR
    • RevPAR
    • Revenue
  3. Review the detailed dashboard in Mews Business Intelligence.

 

 

You can now use Mews Business Intelligence for detailed performance analysis.

With the Overview dashboard, you have the key metrics and market context you need to make confident pricing decisions each day.
