If you create a new additional service, guests won't be able to purchase the service or any attached products when they make their reservation. Guests would have to purchase the additional service or product on-site and you then need to manually add it to the customer's bill in Mews Operations.
If you want customers to be able to purchase something with their reservation, you need to create a product that's attached to a bookable service such as your stay service. You can learn more about bookable services and how to set them up here.

Create an additional service
If you require setting up accounting categories for all additional services and products and enabled in your accounting configuration settings, you need to create all of the accounting categories related to the additional service before you create the additional service itself.
- Go to the main menu
> Settings > Services.
- Click the
+button and select Additional service - Enter the name of the additional service, for example, Room service.
- Enter the price and select the tax rate that you want to apply. When you set up a price, you need to also set up the currency.
- Set up all accounting categories.
- Enter all other details. See the table below for a detailed explanation of the fields.
- Click Create.

Canceled item accounting category |
Select an accounting category for this service if it's canceled. |

Promotions |
Choose when you want to offer the product to guests through the Mews Kiosk or upselling integrations. Note: If you want to offer this service to guests checking in online or on the Mews Kiosk, select Before check-in. |
Delete an additional service
When you delete an additional service, Mews deletes all the products attached to it.
Deleting an additional service doesn't affect any data already collected for that additional service or its attached products.
- Go to the main menu
> Settings > Services.
- Click on the additional service you want to delete.
- Click the
delete icon.
- Confirm by clicking Delete.
