How to create a product category in Mews POS

It is best practice to assign your products to accurate categories in Mews POS. Product categories function throughout Mews POS and Mews Operations for sales or accounting reports and categorization in the order & pay menu. Assigning products to categories also allows you to assign specific product categories to dedicated printers at your bar or kitchen workstations.

To create a product category, from the Mews POS web dashboard:

1. Click Products > Categories.
2. Click

3. Name: Enter the name for the new category.
4. Click Create.

This creates a new product category in Mews POS. The new category appears in the system under Products > Categories.
