The Customer statistics report

The Customer statistics report is an extensive analysis of all guest profile data, allowing you to track and compare different groups of customers. This can be an extremely helpful tool for Social media, Marketing, Sales, or Public relations teams to analyze their customer statistics and target specific markets. This report focuses more on customer demographics and behavior pattern rather than specific reservation times. For detailed information about reservations, including arrival and departure times, use the Reservations report.

Note:

  • This functionality is only available for Pro Package users and above.
  • Mews updated its pricing plans to offer more flexibility and better value for different business needs. These updates apply only to new customers, and existing subscriptions stay the same. Learn more about pricing and what's included per plan here

It is essential to have accurate data to be able to analyze properly, therefore it is extremely important that your staff collects all customer information carefully. Our online check-in feature is also a great tool, as users can enter and check their own personal data for accuracy.

Using the report

There are various options for using this report. Individual managers may be interested in different data outcomes. Below are a couple of ideas for the filters you can use:

  • Origin vs Nationality: If you are seeing a lower number on the Booking widget for a specific country versus the Channel manager, then maybe consider translating your website in that language.
  • Sex vs Origin: With this filter you can identify via which channel the values are equal and where it is disproportional. For example, via your Booking widget there are the same numbers for men and women whereas Channel manager brought more men. Could it be the description used on the OTA's?
  • Space category vs Sex: Is it men or women who are more likely to buy upgraded rooms?
  • Space category vs Origin: This chart gives you an idea which origin brings you higher room categories.
  • Address/ Nationality vs Rate: This helps you understand which countries book the highest rates, and this helps you plan your pay-per-click campaigns to target these high value markets.
Note: The "None" field in the report represents profiles filled without their nationalities. For example, if the companion's profile in a reservation for two is not added, the report displays the unknown second guest in the 'None' section.
