With group billing, you manage multiple transactions from various guests simultaneously. This feature enables you to consolidate bill items from different guests in a reservation onto a single profile, whether it be the booker's profile or a paymaster account. You can also assign bill items to customers who are not in the group. However, Mews does not display these transactions within the group's billing screen.
In this article, you can learn about:
Move bill items to a customer
- In the Group Billing section, identify the items you want to move. Note: Click on a guest's name to view their bills. Expand a bill to see its items.
- Select the checkbox beside the items.
- At the bottom of the screen, in the action bar, click Move selected items. This button also indicates the number of items you have chosen.
- Decide which customer receives the items. Click the > button next to another guest's name within the group or search for an external customer.
Note:
- Assigning someone as the reservation owner automatically transfers bill items to their profile.
- If a booker does not own a reservation, Mews does not display them in group billing.
Move a whole bill to a company
You can transfer an entire bill to a company rather than individual items. For example, if you do not wish to allocate all items on a bill to a company, move them onto a different bill first.
- Locate the bill you want to assign to a company.
- Click Company.
- Search for and select the company you want to move the bill to, then click Move.
After moving a bill to a company, the bill preview appears under the customer's name in group billing, with the company's name indicated in parentheses.
By following the steps outlined in this guide, you have efficiently managed billing processes within group bookings.
