How to connect and set up Mews Terminal for Kiosk

Mews Terminal is a fully integrated payment processing devices which you can pair with Mews Payments or Mews Kiosk. You can use the Mews Terminal A1, A4 and S2 for kiosk to provide a seamless payment experience for guests while minimizing staff workload.  

In this article you can learn the steps to connect and set up Mews Terminal for Kiosk:  

  

Step 1: Connect the terminal to the Mews Kiosk integration  

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Marketplace > My subscriptions.  
  2. Locate the Mews Kiosk integration and click Edit to go to the Settings page.   
  3. Under Connected devices, select the desired terminal. For example, Terminal 1.

  1. Click Save.    

 

Step 2: Add the terminal to the Kiosk configuration  

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services.  
  2. Click on your bookable service, for example, Stay.  
  3. Click Kiosks.  
  4. Click on the kiosk you want to connect this terminal to.  
  5. Under Payment terminal, select the terminal.

  1. Make sure to choose Balance check from the Options drop-down menu. This ensures guests cannot check in or check out unless they pay their balance in full.

  1. Click Save
