How long does it take for payouts to reach my bank account?

Payouts, like any other bank transaction, take some time to process. Once you charge the guest's card, the money enters your Mews Payments balance within minutes. Afterwards, it takes up to three business days for the amount to process. Then you receive it in your bank account as a payout. Depending on your bank, the transaction finalizes in one or two business days.

The whole payout journey from the guest's credit card to your bank account may take up to five business days.

There are some exceptions that can impact how long it takes for payouts to reach your bank account:

  • New Stripe account:
    • Stripe sends your first payout 7 days after it processes your first successful payment.
    • In some industries, Stripe extends the waiting period to 14 days to manage credit risks.
    • Stripe enforces this delay and applies changes to payout timing or method only after it completes the first payout.
  • Adyen MarketPay:
    • Adyen processes payouts daily and starts them the morning after it detects your payable balance.
    • The funds take up to 3 business days to settle as they move through processing and transfer.
  • Chargeback reserves:
    • Mews holds chargeback reserves to prevent a negative payment balance. This action may delay payouts. You can learn more about chargeback reserves here.
