Bills and invoices for properties based in Poland

The Polish law requires specific elements to be included on your invoice. You can find a detailed list of these elements here. To help you meet local regulations and standards related to invoicing in Poland, there is a difference in the way Mews displays invoices and bills for properties based in Poland.

Tax identifier

For Polish legal environment, it's essential to add your property's Tax identifier (NIP):

  • Go to Settings > Property, and update your Tax identifier in the Legal identifiers section.

Note: Mews displays Tax identifier on corrective invoices.
 

Invoice layout for Poland

The layout of invoices for the Polish legal environment differs from the standard Mews layout. There are two additional fields displayed on invoices and bills that are required by the Polish law:

  • Units (jednostki miary – j.m.) which your property needs to add in product settings. Make sure to add Units to all your products (in English and in Polish).

  • Net total (wartość netto) which Mews calculates automatically.

Corrective invoices

A corrective invoice (faktura korygująca) is a document specific to the Polish legal environment. Mews creates a corrective invoice after a successful rebate. Read this article to learn more about rebates in Mews.

The corrective invoice displays the "Corrected invoices" section at the bottom of the document. In this section, Mews displays the Property tax ID which should be added in Settings > Property > Legal identifiers > Tax identifier.
