In Mews you can change anything about a product, except the service it is attached to. If you want to attach a product to a different service, you need to delete the product and create it again. You can modify a product and configure its pricing details.  

You can configure the pricing details of a product to offer: 

• Specials of the same product with a different price on specific days, for example, a weekend special dinner.
• Off-season prices for some products such as bike rentals during off-peak seasons. 

and many more such scenarios as per your requirements.  

Note:

• You cannot set dynamic prices for products under additional services. Mews is evaluating the future demand for this and plans to extend it if necessary.

Configure the pricing details of a product

To configure the pricing details: 

1. Go to the main menu  > Settings > Services. 
2. Click on the bookable service that the product is attached to.  
3. Click Products. 
4. Click on the icon in the Pricing column of the product you want to update. This opens the “Pricing” tab for the product. Note: You can also click on the product and then click on the” Pricing” tab to access this screen. 
5. To configure the price for a longer time interval, choose the Start and End dates. Note: If you want to configure the price for a certain day, click on the price for that day. Mews automatically prefills the Start and End date with your selection.  

6. Enter your desired price in the “Override” field. Click Override to modify the price. You can then choose to configure the price for another time duration or go back to the previous screen. Note: You can click on Remove adjustments to go back to the original price.
7. Mews marks the date/dates having the price modification with a black triangular marking. Note: When you edit a reservation that includes dynamic product prices, Mews adds the current product prices for any new or extended dates. The product prices for the overlapping dates remain unchanged.
8. You can also configure the pricing details for another product from the same screen:
   1. In the Pricing tab, just click on the Product drop-down menu.
   2. Choose the product and click OK to confirm.
   3. Then repeat steps 5 and 6 to make the necessary changes.

Note: 

• At the moment, channel managers send the original base price of the product irrespective of the date.
• If applications using the Mews Open API request the total price including room nights, products with dynamic product pricing, Mews correctly sends and displays the total price.
