Modifying a product in Mews Operations

In Mews Operations, you can update a product any time after you create it. You can add images, change the pricing and general details of the product. If you want to attach a product to a different service, you need to delete the product and create it again.

Updating product details

You can change anything about a product, except the service it is attached to and the charging option that you choose when creating the product.  

To update product details:

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on the service that the product is attached to. This can be either your bookable service or any of your additional services.
  3. Click Products.
  4. Click on the product you want to update. This opens the Detail tab of the product.
  5. Update the product details in this page. You can look at the detailed explanation of the fields here.
  6. To save your changes, click Update.   

You have successfully modified your product. 

 

Adding an image

Mews lets you add an image to any product you offer to guests. Your guests can view this image in the Mews Booking Engine, Mews Kiosk and during online check-in, as per your settings in the Product options and Promotions fields.

Note: Once you add an image to a product, you cannot delete it, you can only replace the image.

To add a product image:

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Settings > Services.
  2. Click on the service that the product is attached to. This can be either your bookable service or any of your additional services.
  3. Click Products.
  4. Click the product you want to add an image to.
  5. In the Detail tab, go to the Image section.
  6. Click into the drop-zone and search for the file by name.
  7. Click Change

Mews displays the images in a different format depending on if they are in the Mews Booking Engine, Mews Kiosk or Guest Portal. To ensure guests can see the image correctly across all products, Mews recommends using a high-resolution 16:9 aspect ratio image with the subject centered, as below:
