Configuring the pricing details of a product based on the age category

In Mews you can modify everything about a product, except the service it is attached to. If you want to attach a product to a different service, you need to delete the product and create it again. You can configure a product’s pricing details to: 

Note: You can set up only per person and per person per time unit products such as dinner based on age category.
 

 To configure the pricing details of a product based on the age category:  

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services
  2. Click on the bookable service that the product is attached to, for example, Stay.  
  3. Click Products and click on the product you want to configure based on the age categories set up at your property. Then click on the Pricing tab. Note: You can also click on the icon in the Pricing column of the product you want to update. This opens the “Pricing” tab for the product.  
  4. From the image.pngdrop-down, click on the age category you want to configure the price for, such as Infant, Senior, Teen.  
  5. This opens a side-screen where you can enter the following adjustments: 
  • Base adjustment category: From the drop-down, choose whether you want to adjust the price for this product based on its Base price or another age category. 
  • Absolute adjustment: If you want to adjust the price by a fixed amount, enter a positive or negative amount based on whether you want to charge more or less for the product for this age category.  
  • Relative adjustment: If you want to adjust the price by a percentage relative to the Base price, then enter a positive or negative percentage adjustment to charge more or less for the product, for this age category.  

For example, refer to the screen below with the adjustments for the Infant and Tdlr age categories for a breakfast product.

  1. Click Update.  

Once you enter the above adjustments, you can see them in the “Pricing” tab of the product as seen below.
