When a guest arrives without a reservation, you manage their order as a walk-in. Use the Mews POS Android app to quickly add the guest to their order so you can manage billing accurately. This process takes place during service, when you need to connect the guest to their order and helps ensure their visit runs smoothly. You complete the task directly in the order screen, where you choose who the guest is from a list of existing profiles. Adding a customer to a walk-in order helps maintain clear records of who ordered what, why the visit occurred, and how to assign the charges correctly.
To add a guest to a walk-in in the Mews POS Android app:
- Tap
. The Open orders screen appears.
- Tap an open order.
- On the order screen, tap + Customer. The Select customer screen appears.
- Tap the name of the customer from the list.
This adds the customer to the walk-in order.
