One of the first step of setting up an online travel agency in Mews Channel Manager is adding your credentials. These credentials tell the agency who you are and let Mews send your rates and availability to your listing. To find your credentials, log into your account on the agency extranet with property administrator access, or ask your revenue or distribution manager. You can also contact the agency's support team, if the credential does not appear where you expect. Do not guess or leave a required field blank. Missing or incorrect credentials cause the setup to fail at a later step, usually when you test the connection.
Every online travel agency is different. The exact fields you enter and their names can vary from one channel to another. Mews displays the fields the channel requires, so you enter what the screen asks for.
In this article you can learn about:
Common credential fields
The fields you enter depend on the channel, but you often see:
- Reservation email address: The address the agency uses to send you booking confirmations and notifications.
- Property code or property ID: The unique identifier the agency uses to refer to your property in its system.
- Currency: The currency the agency listing uses to quote your rates.
The same information can appear under different names on different channels. For example, one channel might call it a property code, another a property ID, and a third a hotel code. The Mews credentials screen uses the name the channel itself uses, so match what you enter to the name shown.
How to add channel credentials in Mews Channel Manager

- Confirm the connectivity partner on the agency extranet. See Confirming the connectivity partner on your channel extranet.
- Continue through the remaining setup steps. See How to set up an OTA channel in Mews Channel Manager for the full setup.
