Front desk staff and night auditors use Mews Operations to open and close cashier shifts by setting and resetting balances at the start and end of a shift. This process ensures financial accountability, security, and accuracy in property operations. Before you can close a cashier shift, you need to create cashiers. At the end of a shift, you can remove takings and reset the cashier balance to prepare for the next shift. Once you close a shift, you cannot modify it. To do so, you need to open a new cashier.
