A composite product in Mews POS is a product you sell to guests which is composed of one or more inventory tracking products. The products you create in Mews POS can have variants. A product variant is an additional choice the guest makes when they select the product. Some variants of the products you create may require different components depending on the variant the guest selects. For example, the size of a pizza determines the quantity of the ingredients needed. In these instances Mews POS recommends you create a composite product with variants. You can also define dietary information to help staff answer guest questions with confidence.
Note: For products that have simple size or style variations and do not require recipes or multiple components, Mews POS recommends creating a product with variants instead.
